Inside Pepper's

Pepper's Newsletter April 24, 2018

Pepper's Newsletter April 24, 2018

Good morning!  That time of the week where we tell you about everything new at Pepper's has rolled around once again! And this week there's no shortage of stuff to talk about so without further adieu, let's get right to it!

At Pepper's we're all about buying locally. So when we found out about Skippy's Small Batch Crafted Kettle Corn, we didn't hesitate to bring another quality item into the store! No, it's not the brainchild of Irwin "Skippy" Handelman of the television series Family Ties. It is, however, 100% hand made from scratch and farm grown in Kamloops, BC. Available in Original Blue Ribbon CrunchPeanut Crunch and Chocolate Sea Salt Crunch these gourmet, sweet snacks are made with non-GMO, grade-A popcorn and are, of course, gluten-free! And because the bag is clear, you see exactly what you're getting. So set the PVR, get comfortable and tuck into a bag of this deliciously crafted corn!

It's time to Sproos up your gut! And your joints. And your skin and hair. By that, we mean you should try new Sproos Enhanced Collagen Beverage Crystals for total body maintenance. It's a "synergistic combination of collagen and other active ingredients, designed to work meaningfully from within to enhance your Gut health.  Add Sproos to water for a refreshing daily (sugar free) beverage and your gut will love you!" Same goes for the Skin and Hair and Joints formulations. We talked in-depth about collagen in a past newsletter so we're not going to repeat ourselves here but if you want to know what the company has to say about the science of collagen as a supplement, open a new tab and cut and paste this link into the browser bar: https://sprooslife.com/science/

Many of our customers have been asking if we could  add more lactose free dairy products and we're happy to announce that we now carry Gay Lea Lactose Free Cottage Cheese as well as Gay Lea Lactose Free Sour Cream! No need to feel left out anymore! You have the green light to partake in the delicious dairy that you've been dreaming of! Just don't overdo it to try to make up for lost time.

And for our customers that can tolerate lactose, we've added Gay Lea Gold Label Premium Sour Cream. This 18% milk fat sour cream is ridiculously thick and decadent and was only available in Ontario for the longest time. Well no more, friends! The gold rush happened on this coast so it only makes sense to have this product available here! This is the good stuff so if you're making something special, go for the gold and lay it on thick!

Quinoa. It's not pronounced QUINN-OH-AH. It's KEEN-WAH. Don't ask us why but GoGo Quinoa seemed to make all kinds of quinoa related products except JUST quinoa. But now we've been able to aquire GoGo Quinoa Organic Royal Tri-Color Quinoa and GoGo White Quinoa. And you'll be keen to try either of them because, not only are they tasty but these two varieties are both certified gluten-free, kosher and non-GMO. Quinoa is referred to as the mother of all grains by ancient Incan societies and is highly nutritious, containing all 9 essential amino acids and is rich in iron and antioxidants. It's THE complete vegetable protein!

Hope you celebrated Earth Day in a meaningful way. Stay tuned for another edition of the Pepper's Newsletter next Tuesday but until then take care of yourselves. And don't forget to look at the attached weekly specials!
