Good morning! You know, this time of year congestion abounds. There's more shoppers out and about so there's more congestion on the roads, more congestion in the parking lots and more congestion in retail stores. And of course, with this being cold and flu season, there's more congestion in our noses! That's why we added an additional till to our front end a little while back: to alleviate some of the congestion when we get really busy. But there's always a trade-off: we have a little less room. And because of this, we kindly request that our guests to take only hand baskets through the 3rd and 4th tills. Shopping carts prevent other shoppers from accessing the new till. That doesn't mean that they're express till only, though. You can take as many items through as you like. But just don't take your shopping cart through, please. With this in mind, we're sure that the lines will all move quicker as the busy Christmas shopping times draw near. Thank you!
We all know how busy Christmas can get. There's so much to think about and so much to do. But please take a moment to consider that there are a huge amount of underpriviledged people: children, families, that can't afford gifts or even food for a nice meal during the holidays. As we do every year at this time, Pepper's is sponsoring two families in need and we're asking you to donate an unwrapped gift, food or money to help bring some Christmas cheer to people who could use some.
Okey-dokey, let's talk about what's new and exciting on our shelves this week! Crackers start selling like hotcakes right about now and Christie Triscuits have been opoular with a lot of folks for a lot of years. But why not change things up a bit this year? Try new Triscuits woven with Quinoa Seeds, Basil & Garlic! What a great flavour combo just waiting for your mouth to discover it!
Another delightful treat that's been around for a long time hails from Scotland and features a picture of a happy boy on the package: Tunnock's Real Milk Chocolate Caramel Wafer Biscuits. Inside you'll find bars consisting of five layers of wafer, separated by four layers of caramel. Translation: nine layers of sheer joy. And here's a fun fact: factory tours have become so popular that the firm keeps a two-year-long waiting list to manage demand!
The popularity for this nexr brand of chocolate bars is huge! Ritter Sport Bars originated in Germany in 1912 but luckily they're available much closer to home! And we have three new varieties here just for the holidays: Ritter Sport Winter Edition Chocolate Bars come in Caramelized Almonds, Dark Mint Crisp and Spiced Biscuit flavours! These would make great stocking stuffers, too, so make sure to get some before they're gone!
Mincemeat is in uber high demand right now as bakers use the spicy preserve for tarts, pies, cakes, bars and other glorious holiday sweets. So we made sure to have lots of Crosse & Blackwell Mincemeat available over the Christmas holidays. It's the only one you'll need for all your mincemeat treats!
You don't know jack about...fruit. Jackfruit, that is. Or maybe you do. Maybe you know that canned jackfruit has a meaty texture and has become very popular with vegans and other non-carnivores.
