Pepper's Newsletter January 9, 2018

Pepper's Newsletter January 9, 2018

Good morning!  Good news for all you social media mavens out there: Pepper's Foods is now on Instagram as peppersfoodsvictoria! Now you can find us on the "big three" social media sites and stay even more up to date on new products, contests and events because we're constantly posting news and updates! On Facebook you can find us at facebook.com/peppersfoods and on Twitter as @Peppersfoods.

We have a couple of new items to share with you this week. From Calgary, Alberta comes a new line of gluten free (and dairy free) baked goods from Care Bakery. We have sliced white bread, dinner rolls and sandwich buns. Look for it in the gluten free section of our frozen food aisle.

Pepper's has carried powdered peanut butter for awhile now but we've just gotten powdered almond butter from PB&Me! The company primary produces powdered peanut butter (hence the name) but also offers its delicious powdered almond butter! This taken from their website:

PB&Me Traditional Powdered Almond Butter is made from premium almonds, sea salt and lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar. PB&Me products contain 90% less calories from fat than traditional almond spreads, at only 23 calories per tablespoon! PB&Me Traditional has high protein content with upwards of 5g of protein per serving, not to mention it is paleo and vegan friendly! Enjoy PB&Me guilt-free in your smoothies & shakes, as a spread, or use it as a baking ingredient in your favorite recipes.

QUALITY: Made with the best tasting premium ingredients - almonds, organic cane sugar and sea salt
FLAVOUR: Traditional (lightly sweetened)
LOW CALORIE: Less than 25 calories per tablespoon!
PROTEIN: 5g of protein per serving!
VERSATILITY: Great for smoothies & shakes, as a spread or as a baking ingredient

Ingredients: Almonds, Organic Cane Sugar, Sea Salt

And speaking of nut butter, our deal of the week for Thursday is Fatso Hybrid Peanut Butter on for an amazing price of $6.49! This deal goes all day but only for Thursday so make sure you take advantage of this great price! Some of you may be wondering what's so special about this peanut butter, anyway? For starters, it's all about the fat. The company states that these are "...good, nutritious, life-giving fats."

Avocado Oil: High in oelic fatty acid which is good for blood pressure and fat burning.

MCT Oil (medium chain triglycerides): good for your brain, great for digestion.

Macadamia Oil: Skin softening and anti inflammatory.

Chia Seeds: High in omega 3, protein, and antioxidants.

Flax: High in omega 3.

We sell a ridiculous amount of this product so if you haven't tried it, now's the time to find out what all the fuss is about!

Just before we go we'd like to remind our customers who purchase Avalon Dairy products in the glass bottles that the dairy will only accept the bottles if they are clean and WITHOUT the lids. So please rinse thoroughly and keep the plastic lids for your recycling before you bring them back to the store.

And so as not to confuse (or alarm!) anyone, we want to inform you that the molasses has been moved across the aisle from where it was in Aisle 3 to where the shortening and baking soda is kept. We thought it made more sense to merchandise it with the baking items as opposed to being lodged in between the peanut butter and table salt.

That's all for this week. Stay tuned for another newsletter next week and in the meantime, make sure to find us and Like Us on social media!
