Good morning! March came in like a lamb this year and you know what that means...it'll go out like a lion! Or so the saying goes. We'll have to wait and see but if it's anything at all like this past weekend, we have sunshine and rainbows to look forward to!
Sometimes it can be a challenge to fill this newsletter with interesting content because inevitably, there are times when we just don't have a lot of news. Fortunately, however, that's not the case this week. In fact, we have so much to talk about that we're going to have to save some for next week! So let's get right to it. But first, a reminder to set your clocks AHEAD one hour this Saturday, March 10th, before you go to bed for the start of Daylight Savings.

Moringa. Boabab. No, this is not the language of Mork from Ork.They are, however, just a couple of natural and organic superfood products by Canadian retailer Ecoideas and they're now on Pepper's shelves! Moringa Leaf Powder is one of the Earth's most nutrient-rich superfoods. The Moringa tree is known as the "Miracle Tree" because of it's high nutrient content. It's high in vitamin A. It's also high in iron and a source of Vitamin B6, calcium and Vitamin C. Add it to smoothies, make a tea or use as a thickener for soups, stews and sauces! Super versatile and super nutritious!
In addition, Baobob is known as the "Tree of Life" and its fruit is an excellent source of Vitamin C. It's a very high source of dietary fibre, high in potassium, a source of Vitamins B1 and B6, Magnesium and Manganese. This fruit has a sweet and tangy flavour and you can also use it in smoothies, stirred into milk, yogurt cereal or oatmeal!
And if that wasn't enough, we also offer an Organic Coconut Milk Powder which can be used as an alternative to icing sugar or as a smoothie booster. Like it's companion products, it's vegan, certified Kosher and gluten-free. And of course, it's also delicious!
But wait, there's more! Ecoideas also offers Organic Mango and Papaya Dried Fruit Snacks! These raw fruit snacks are excellent all on their own right out of the bag or make super yummy additions to salads, yogurt, ice cream and even cocktails! Use your imagination!
Pepper's Dairy Department has once again expanded its selections for you by offering Avalon Organic Yogurt. These creamy, delectable yogurts are whole milk, balkan-style, probiotic yogurts made locally in BC with BC milk. Balkan (or set-style) means that once created, the yogurt is poured into containers where it is allowed to incubate and set without any further stirring thus creating its characteristic thick texture. However it's made, all we know is that this stuff is good!
And hey, if you like to add fruit to your yogurt, you should make suire to pick up a few bags of Pepper's Own Frozen, Organic Blueberries 450g which are in the ad this week (for the first time ever!) for a terrific price of $5.96 each!
Stay tuned for another info-packed newsletter next week! Until then, take good care and remember our slogan: "If you want it and we can get it, you got it!"
